"[Tyler's] straight forward, dead-on writing style invites us to get hot and happy and bowled over by love right along with Carly and Hunt. Which makes being there when they do come undone one of the best things about the novel — next to just how great a romance it is." -Michelle Buonofiglio, Romance: Buy The Book

“On a similar note, while you're free to think whatever you like about my life and death, if you think I wasted my life, I'll tell you you're wrong. We're all going to die of something. I died doing a job I loved. When your time comes, I hope you are as fortunate as I was.”

“Do you want me to tell you something really subversive? Love is everything it’s cracked up to be. That’s why people are so cynical about it. It really is worth fighting for, being brave for, risking everything for. And the trouble is, if you don’t risk everything, you risk even more.”

blog switch!

First of all, Marge was robbed of Best in Show at Westminster. Yes, robbed. And what the hell that the announcer couldn’t pronounce weimaraner? I mean, if you’re announcing at a dog show, shouldn’t you like, practice pronouncing breed names? I know it’s really rare for a weim to win Best in Sport and everything, but still, she did - so since you only have seven breed names to get right for the finals, how hard could it be? :whatever:

Oh, and she shares some bloodlines with Gus! I told him last night - he remained unimpressed. Mainly because he was too busy fighting me for my spot on the couch.

As a sidenote, is anyone else really sick of the LOL cats?

Okay, back to working on the proposal that’s due like, um, Friday.

Oh, and for a chance to win a copy of Beyond His Control, my newest Blaze, come visit me over at Love Is An Exploding Cigar today (post should be up some time this morning!)…this is part of the Writeminded/Cigars blog switch we’re doing this week.

Don’t hate me but I was rooting for Uno. *g* Mainly I was rooting for any dog that wasn’t a poodle.

  2. Steph T. Says:

Okay, yes, I would’ve been much more upset had one of the poodles won. I just don’t get poodles (altho I’m sure they’re wonderful dogs - I’m just not feeling the shaved thing :)

Did you see the Doberman who took 2nd in the working class? OMG - she was so freakin’ gorgeous!

I just like the BIG dogs…would love to see them win more.

But yeah, Uno was kind of cute. But not like Marge… :P

  3. Jane Says:

I saw Uno on the news. He’s so cute. The poodle was cute too, but they’re not one of my favorite breeds. Uno gets to have lunch at Sardi’s today.

  4. Amie Stuart Says:

    Never sick of LOLCats :smoke:

  5. Steph T. Says:

OMG, Jane - that’s so funny about Uno at Sardi’s! Now I’m hungry…

LOL Cece - I liked them when everyone didn’t use them…I think I first saw them at Mary’s blog, so I always associate them with her. Now I’m kind of like, why is everyone using Mary’s cats?! :P

  6. Jean Says:

There were a lot of great dogs on last night — Marge was awesome. I loved Uno, too. I’d have been ok with either of them winning. I loved almost all of the working class. I agree on the dobie — she was a beauty.

LOL Cats? I’ve never gotten what the appeal is for them.

  7. Steph T. Says:

Jean, wasn’t it cool to see so many of the finalists up there who’d never finaled / won before? It’s like it’s finally breaking open from just the traditional breeds who always win!

And the Great Dane was SO cool too - I love those dogs. The woman who bred our first weim had one named Lucy…what a sweetheart…

  8. Eden Bradley Says:

Oh no-I missed it! What the heck was I doing?? Oh, yeah, probably these copy edits…I’m bummed. :(

  9. larissa Says:

    I tagged you…and your little dog too…

    bwahahahaha!

    Okay, maybe not the dog.

  10. Amie Stuart Says:

    LOL’s at Evil Larissa
