“On a similar note, while you're free to think whatever you like about my life and death, if you think I wasted my life, I'll tell you you're wrong. We're all going to die of something. I died doing a job I loved. When your time comes, I hope you are as fortunate as I was.”
-Andrew Olmsted, US Solider, killed in Iraq on January 3rd, 2008 – words from his final blog, written to be put up in the event of his death. (www.andrewolmsted.com

“Do you want me to tell you something really subversive? Love is everything it’s cracked up to be. That’s why people are so cynical about it. It really is worth fighting for, being brave for, risking everything for. And the trouble is, if you don’t risk everything, you risk even more.”

bottle caps and pigeons

What should’ve happened yesterday:
Husband: Want to order a movie?
Me: No! Absolutely not! I have work to do.
Husband: I’m so proud of you and your strict work ethic. Go to it!

What really happened yesterday:
Husband: Want to order a movie?
Me: Sure. And let’s make popcorn too.

But after the movie I did go and work. Normally I can get chapters 1 - 3 down pretty much in order, but that’s not happening this time. For one of the books, anyway. Maybe it will go better today. So I’m headed back to work (no, really.)

But before you go, take the quiz. And really, I do feel for Bert when he tells Ernie to just leave him alone all the time.

You Are Bert

Extremely serious and a little eccentric, people find you loveable - even if you don’t love them!

You are usually feeling: Logical - you rarely let your emotions rule you

You are famous for: Being smart, a total neat freak, and maybe just a little evil

How you life your life: With passion, even if your odd passions (like bottle caps and pigeons) are baffling to others

ROFL!!! I’m Oscar the Grouch.

“Grumpy and grouchy, you aren’t just pessimistic. You revel in your pessimism. (I’m not sure that’s really true.)

You are usually feeling: Unhappy. Unless it’s rainy outside, and even then you know the foul weather won’t last.

You are famous for: Being mean yet loveable. And you hate the loveable part. (Lord, I hope I’m not mean all the time! And I don’t mind being thought lovable!)

How you life your life: As a slob. But it’s not repelling as many people as you’d like!” (Well, I AM pretty messy…)

  2. cece Says:

    OMFG I got ELmo! :frazzled:

  3. cece Says:

    ***You Are Ernie***

Playful and childlike, you are everyone’s favorite friend - even if your goofy antics get annoying at times.

You are usually feeling: Amused - you are very easily entertained

You are famous for: Always making people smile. From your silly songs to your wild pranks, you keep things fun.

How you life your life: With ease. Life is only difficult when your friends won’t play with you!

Oh now, that’s a little strange since yesterday’s blog was about songs stuck in my head. Tickle me Amie:eek:

  6. Steph T. Says:

Tori - I like Oscar - he says what he means :)

ROFLMAO @ Cece being Elmo!!! My daughter will love you! Oh, and we watched Jarhead…I liked the movie better than the book (Jamie Foxx was good) but my husband couldn’t stand the movie.

Hey Bailey!! (I love that name, btw) Ernie’s a cool one…except when I’m being Bert-like.

  7. cece Says:

Shouldn’t that board behind Bert say Show Don’t Tell?

  8. raine Says:

    “Me want COOKIES!!”

  14. Steph T. Says:

Cece - OMG - I didn’t even notice that. Too bad I don’t know how to photoshop.

Raine & Bonnie - back away from the cookies slowly…(Jake’s words, not mine)

Jean - maybe scarier for other people if we meet!

Michelle - if it gets any stricter, I don’t know what we’ll do… And I hope you hear SOMETHING soon!!

April - I’ll lend you some of my paper clips :)

    Jill - hey, at least you’re tall:LOL:

  15. Jean Says:

OK. As long as it’s scarier for *other* people, I’m OK with that! :bravo:
