Coming Undone
Harlequin Blaze
April 2007

"[Tyler's] straight forward, dead-on writing style invites us to get hot and happy and bowled over by love right along with Carly and Hunt. Which makes being there when they do come undone one of the best things about the novel — next to just how great a romance it is." -Michelle Buonofiglio, Romance: Buy The Book

“On a similar note, while you're free to think whatever you like about my life and death, if you think I wasted my life, I'll tell you you're wrong. We're all going to die of something. I died doing a job I loved. When your time comes, I hope you are as fortunate as I was.”
-Andrew Olmsted, US Solider, killed in Iraq on January 3rd, 2008 – words from his final blog, written to be put up in the event of his death. (www.andrewolmsted.com

“Do you want me to tell you something really subversive? Love is everything it’s cracked up to be. That’s why people are so cynical about it. It really is worth fighting for, being brave for, risking everything for. And the trouble is, if you don’t risk everything, you risk even more.”

ice & snow

I apologize if you’ve had trouble accessing the site over the past days - there’s a server move for my site in the near future. Which means that my site might remain wonky for a bit :)

Anyway, we’ve got some kind of ice storm thing going on here at the moment. The four year old is still sleeping, mainly because she was up from 2 - 5 am watching Elmo. The husband is off today, having dragged himself home just as the four year old woke up (coincidence? I think not) from his office Christmas party.

And I’m sitting here going - crap, it’s been over a week that I’ve done any writing. And it’s starting to actually hurt a bit. I don’t feel like…me. I mean, I knew I was going to have to back-burner it during the move, but this is ridiculous. Of course, I could be writing now but I haven’t completed the coffee ingestion yet. And I also have to figure out what I’d like to work on. I’ve got a new proposal for Blaze ready, no matter what happens with the revisions I sent in. And I’ve got AM, which is going to be a ST, but I want to have more of a plan.

I was like this last year too - must remind self of the work I accomplished from September through now and remember that January through March is always a slower writing time for me.

And today, if people ever get up and out of bed, is supposed to be Christmas Shopping Day. In the middle of the ice storm. We have four wheel drive and hopefully, everyone else will just stay home.

Fa. La. La. (see, Larissa? I’ve got spirit. You didn’t say it couldn’t be sarcastic.)

    Steph,

Happy Holidays! I hope the shopping goes safely and well. Writing will come as it will. Muses don’t like pressure.

  4. Rene Says:

My writing has been non-existent for the last month. Not in the mood and what I write is crapola. I think I’m overwhelmed with the holidays and some other stuff.

Nasty weather. I actually had to turn the heater on in the house today. It only got to about 60 degrees here today

  5. cece Says:

Shopping is so overrated! I did most of mine online. God bless the internet and high speed access

  6. raine Says:

This not-writing thing has become contagious. :unhappy:

But good luck with the proposal!

  7. Olga Says:

Steph, I had a far too long break from writing as well! All in all, I hope you’ll have great holidays!

  8. Jordan Says:

I was able to write a ton last month, but I find myself dragging my feet about editing. Why? I have no idea, but I need to knock it off because this book has to be out the door by the first week of Jan.

  9. Teresa Says:

I tried getting out in an ice storm last week. Didn’t work out well for me. Hope you had better luck. And I need to remind myself to remind myself that I need to be writing.
