“On a similar note, while you're free to think whatever you like about my life and death, if you think I wasted my life, I'll tell you you're wrong. We're all going to die of something. I died doing a job I loved. When your time comes, I hope you are as fortunate as I was.”

“Do you want me to tell you something really subversive? Love is everything it’s cracked up to be. That’s why people are so cynical about it. It really is worth fighting for, being brave for, risking everything for. And the trouble is, if you don’t risk everything, you risk even more.”

angel & devil

*Update* Sasha sold to Kensington!!! Yay! Been a good couple of weeks around this place!!!

Apparently, I also lost Wednesday. I can’t afford that many days a week. I’m supposed to be organizing. Thinking about what to pack for when the construction starts in a week or so.

I’m amazingly calm. Mainly it’s because I’m letting the husband handle it. Mind you, this isn’t the type of thing I deal well with, so I’m figuring on ignorance being bliss. Only yesterday did I catch that our town’s building department is screwing up, meaning construction might not begin on Monday. My attitude? Oh good, another day of peace.

And yesterday was a calm day. Except for the migraine. (yes, mom, I will drag myself to that headache clinic. promise.) And I really, really want to finish the Blaze but then, the angel / devil thing started up.

A: Work on the Blaze. Finish it up. Send it out.

D: Nah. The new novella. Work on the novella. Here’s an idea for it. Here’s the hero’s name. It will be fun, new exciting. You know what’s going to happen in the Blaze.

A: You know what’s going to happen in the Blaze. Finish it.

D: Start the novella and I’ll make sure Alison and Emma write some out-of-order scenes.

(this is Alison and Emma hiding, btw)

So tempting, I say. Stay tuned for the winner.

This morning’s quiz is for Larissa.

You Are an Espresso

At your best, you are: straight shooting, ambitious, and energetic

At your worst, you are: anxious and high strung

You drink coffee when: anytime you’re not sleeping

Your caffeine addiction level: high

:eek:I’m an espresso too  Woo Hoo Sasha!!! That’s great :bravo: (((Steph))) on the migraine :unhappy:

  2. Charlene Says:

    I’m espresso too.

    YYYAYYYYYY for Sasha!

  3. Alison Says:

It won’t happen. Ever. No out of order scenes here! :yuck:

  4. Michelle Says:

Thanks for sharing the link to congratulate Sasha. I love all the good news lately. :)

Let us know which one you decide to work on!

  5. Cece Says:

    FINISH THE BLAZE!!!!!!!!!!

  6. Jill Says:

Okay now maybe I haven’t been reading your site long enough and I’m going to sound ridiculous … but WHY AREN’T YOU WRITING JAKE’S STORY?

    Just wondering …

  7. Steph T. Says:

Thanks, Bonnie. It’s actually better right now - maybe Sasha’s good news (and the espresso) helped!

Charlene - I can imagine the caffeine needs with the new baby & trying to write.

    *blinks innocently at Alison*

Michelle - I know - the good news is SO much fun to share!! Right now, I’ve got both the novella and the Blaze open on Word.

*ignores Cece, who’s trying to pretend she’s the Angel*

  8. Steph T. Says:

    Ah Jill - that’s a good question (don’t answer, Sasha *g*)

At first, he was going to be the third book in a trilogy. And then I pushed him off because I couldn’t find the right heroine for him. And then… (I’ve run out of excuses.)

I think he might be the book of my heart, and I don’t think I’m ready to let him go yet…

  9. Emma Says:

Heh. I haven’t written a word in two weeks, in order or otherwise. So I guess my point is, good luck?

(Do you see that I remembered to log out this time???)

  10. Steph T. Says:

Emma - I kind of miss you logging out first - because I kind of miss thinking I’ve got another personality who writes things I don’t remember.

Get writing. (said from someone who is completely avoiding her own work)

  11. Sasha Says:

Finish the Blaze…so you can SUBMIT it!!

Yay, Jill,. Now You can help me convince Steph Jake needs a story too.

Ooops, ok Steph. I knwo how close he is to mY heart. I’m sure he;’s ingrained even deeper into yours. I’ll stop pestering you and let you keep him a whilelonger. However, I think he should come over and congratulate me.

  12. Teresa Says:

YAY to Sasha!! And go for it with the BLAZE!

  13. Tori Says:

    Congrats, Sasha!

I’m not going to be any help in forcing you to work on what you should be writing. I can’t seem to stay on one thing myself for more than a couple of weeks. :frazzled: This could also explain my fickle nature when it comes to men…. Hmm.

  14. Cece Says:

I think he might be the book of my heart, and I don’t think I’m ready to let him go yet…

Aw hon but if he’s that special don’t you think you should share him with the rest of the….wait a minute. If YOU share him then WE have to share him, too. Never mind.

  15. Larissa Says:

    YAY Sasha!

Steph, I’m an Irish coffee. Not a shock, except that it says my caffeine addiction level is low. That is SO not true…

  16. Annie Says:

Well, any kind of coffee it found would be totally off the wall - becuz I don’t drink it. Actually it said I was an Espresso and had a caffiene addiction - so 1/2 true. whatever:

So, it’s the end of the day - what did you decide to work on?

  17. Sasha Says:

Cece has a point, if you tell his story that meanas we have to share him too. I don’t know if I’m ready for that.

  18. kacey Says:

Hm, black coffee. That fits. That’s how I like it too.

    Hey, and yay for Sasha!

  19. Jill Says:

Well writing a Blaze is great, obviously since I write for that line, I love it.

But Jake … so he’s the book of your heart, what, you only have one book in you? Don’t think so! Write him next!!

  20. Suzanne Says:

I couldn’t write scenes out of order to save my life. Really. Shoot me now. :sigh:

  21. Jordan Says:

You can do it! Keep on writing…says the procrastinator.
