"[Tyler's] straight forward, dead-on writing style invites us to get hot and happy and bowled over by love right along with Carly and Hunt. Which makes being there when they do come undone one of the best things about the novel — next to just how great a romance it is." -Michelle Buonofiglio, Romance: Buy The Book

“On a similar note, while you're free to think whatever you like about my life and death, if you think I wasted my life, I'll tell you you're wrong. We're all going to die of something. I died doing a job I loved. When your time comes, I hope you are as fortunate as I was.”
-Andrew Olmsted, US Solider, killed in Iraq on January 3rd, 2008 – words from his final blog, written to be put up in the event of his death. (www.andrewolmsted.com

“Do you want me to tell you something really subversive? Love is everything it’s cracked up to be. That’s why people are so cynical about it. It really is worth fighting for, being brave for, risking everything for. And the trouble is, if you don’t risk everything, you risk even more.”

luck and stuff

Did you see the finale of Everybody Loves Raymond? I love the show, but I thought the finale was kind of meh, as I’m sure The Apprentice finale will be. Of course, I will be right there watching it.

Anyway, on to more important things, like today’s Horoscope for Aries:

Very few times over the course of a year, the universe taps us on the shoulder and lets us know that today is our lucky day. This one is yours, and whether or not you feel the tap on the shoulder, you have some luck coming your way. Now that you’ve been told and you know it’s coming, you have all kinds of options. The first, of course, is to jump right on any chance you come across, regardless of the perceived outcome, and see what happens. Obviously, that would be best.

*sits and waits for the luck to pour in*

In the meantime, I guess I should keep trucking along on BOL. For now, the flashback’s IN. Katie and Larissa will be tortured with it later and I’ve decided that’s more fun than torturing myself. Hope everyone got some pages done - I didn’t have the manic thing going, but then again, yesterday wasn’t the lucky day.

And never let it be said that a new quiz came out and I didn’t take it for pure procrastination purposes. Go on, take it. You know you want to.

Your Deadly Sins

Greed: 40%
Sloth: 40%
Wrath: 20%
Envy: 0%
Gluttony: 0%
Lust: 0%
Pride: 0%
Chance You’ll Go to Hell: 14%
You will die love and feared by many. And you’ll be buried in a tomb.

If you end up with some extra good luck, would you mind sending it my way?

  2. Jill Says:

    I need some, too …

  3. Steph T. Says:

    Will gladly share.

    So far, I’ve got nothin’…

  4. Elisabeth Says:

Oh, man. Don’t think I want to take that quiz!

Finales always suck. It’s the law of the great sitcom universe. MASH, Cheers, Friends…the end was always a let down.

    Pththt…hope that’s not true of my books!

  5. Amy K. Says:

See you in hell, then!

  6. Steph T. Says:

Elisabeth - I agree, because I can’t even remember the finales of the shows you mentioned but I can remember a lot of other episodes.

Amy - We’ll have fun. We just have to make sure Larissa doesn’t bring those damned tofu dogs again…

  7. Michelle Says:

Ooh, I need some of that luck! Send it my way!

  8. kacey Says:

Man, I’ll take some luck today…got any to spare??

I don’t know why they build up these finales so much…they are usually such a let down…

  9. Bonnie Ferguson Says:

The finale is almost never the best episode of a series. Not sure why it’s hard to end a show well :???:

  10. Jerri Says:

I have a 14 % chance of going to hell, and I’m going to die with my hand down my underwear, watching star trek.

Don’t you just love a good survey.

  11. Suzanne Says:

I’m an Aries, too. Where’s my luck? :frazzled:

  12. Larissa Says:

My quiz came out the exact same as yours. I’m scared.

  13. Steph T. Says:

Haven’t seen the luck yet - will surely have a big luck sharing party…

The whole ending thing is interesting - and I’m sure I’ll be bitching about it tomorrow after the Apprentice finale.

Hey Jer - not a bad way to go…

Larissa - I think I should be more scared than you. And please note the quiz mentions nothing about flax.
