yahoo messenger problems

Is it just me or is anyone else having yahoo messenger issues? I can log in, but I’m not getting the email alerts anymore.

I’ve rebooted. I’ve reinstalled messenger. All the right things are checked under audibles and it all worked fine until sometime yesterday.

And yahoo customer service is not helpful at all. Big surprise.

Beyond that, yahoo mail has been acting strange for a while now. I don’t know why I bother with it at all. I have a gmail account, but I can’t sign into it from IE, only Netscape.

This is where the :shoot:come in handy…

Yahoo is a demon sometimes. It seems to work great then it just doesn’t.

Yes! I found you by running a search for “messenger alerts not working.” Good to know it’s not just me - I’d been wondering how far back I had to system restore. If I find a solution, I’ll let you know.

All I know is that I took a nap on Thursay, and when I woke up it had stopped working. But just the message alerts - every other feature works fine!

Yahoo has yet to get back to me with an answer - if you find something, please let me know!!

Yeah, Yahoo hasn’t gotten back to me, either. I re-installed Messenger and the Toolbar, and nothing helped. Finally, yesterday, it just started working again. Problem must’ve been on Yahoo’s end.
