*grumbles about more singing on blog*

Plus for Sylvia: On my wavelength

Minus for Sylvia: Pulled to dark side of Christmas cheer by Larissa

will give Sylvia benefit of doubt for now ONLY because of looming book deadline and stress of being brand new author.

Yay for Sylvia hanging out on the dark side with me! : )

And yay for Steph's new plan to finish books! : ) I used to have a bazillion partials sitting around, and then I realized that I just need to finish them. Even if it's only a rough draft. Mostly I need to finish them because I can't write fast, so writing partials to send out and then waiting to hear back wouldn't work for me. I have to have the book at least 2/3rds of the way done--plus, I can't write a synopsis any earlier than that, because I usually don't know all the turning points in my story until about 2/3rds of the way through. I'm pathetic, I know!

I'm with Larissa....I've got to be at least most of the way done to write a synopsis. I forgot this is one of my goals--learn to write a synopsis w/out a finished book LOL I figure it's good training for selling and like you, Steph I've got 3 finished manuscripts, 1 nearly finished, 1 1/3 of the way done and other stuff. BUT I'm a big advocate of just getting that first draft done.
LOVEEEEEE the pic. Sylvia's only singing because hubby did the Christmas shopping for her! =\

I'm with you Steph. I think I need to write "in the moment" because as soon as I stop I can't get back into it. As fro writign a synopsis first. Well, I did that for the novel for BL, and now I have no interest in actually writing the story because I know how it all ends. I also have all the notepads all over the house. *blush*

I agree on the writing the beginning, middle, and end. It doesn't have to perfect. That's why they're called first drafts right? But I want to finish the one I'm currently working on, the first draft that is, by the end of January. And I think just writing in the moment will help me reach that goal.
