Even if it's only a rough draft. Mostly I need to finish them because I can't write fast, so writing partials to send out and then waiting to hear back wouldn't work for me. I have to have the book at least 2/3rds of the way done--plus, I can't write a synopsis any earlier than that, because I usually don't know all the turning points in my story until about 2/3rds of the way through. BUT I'm a big advocate of just getting that first draft done. LOVEEEEEE the pic. I think I need to write "in the moment" because as soon as I stop I can't get back into it. As fro writign a synopsis first. Well, I did that for the novel for BL, and now I have no interest in actually writing the story because I know how it all ends. It doesn't have to perfect. That's why they're called first drafts right? But I want to finish the one I'm currently working on, the first draft that is, by the end of January.
